5 adaptations I watched before reading the book // Friday Five

Hey hey!

I haven’t done one of these in a while so why not? Today I’m going to be listing (wait for it), 5 book adaptations I watched BEFORE reading the books. I would really appreciate if you could stop giving me that deprecating look of “how dare you” because we’re all friends here, right??? I watched most of these adaptations quite a while ago before I really got into reading but now I restrain myself from watching adaptations until after I read the original books. That’s most of the time. Onwards…

Top 5 childhood book series // Friday Five

Hey hey!

Today I’ve got a different post and I’m going to be listing my favourite series of books I remember I loved as a child (but I don’t know how I would feel now because I haven’t read any recently) and they’ve stuck with me. I’m not saying these are good books but from the whimsical mind of my childhood, these are the books I thoroughly enjoyed reading. Now as a kid, I wasn’t the most advanced for readers and I wish I challenged myself, but at my primary school, there would be an expected area of books in the library that were “aimed” at girls and we were kind of pushed in that direction. So you’re probably going to see that reflected in my list. Moving forward, these are my top 5!

Top 5 Book series where I only liked the FIRST book // Friday Five

Helloooo

I hope you are all well. Today I’m going to be listing my top 5 book series in which I adored the first book of the series buuut everything went downhill from there for the rest of the series and I ended up shaking my fists in anger because they could have been so much better. Also expectations were extraordinarily high! I initially thought they could have worked as series but after reading the series… ummm better as standalones (why did the sequels need to ruin the story). Basically, my recommendations for series, but only recommending the first book :D Quick side note, I’ve recently noticed that in my blog post titles for my Friday Five lists are extremely long, and perhaps a little excessive but it’s just really difficult to condense it all or maybe I’m incompetent at shortening everything (you’ve seen my blog posts – full of waffle). Anyway, let’s move on, shall we?

Top 5 cliché lines I passionately dislike in books // Friday Five

Helloooo

Today I’m going to be listing my top 5 cliché lines that I really really do not like appearing in books I read (you could call it hatred if you wanted to put a name to it). Do they annoy me? Yes. Do they engulf me in fury? Sometimes. Do they make me to scream or laugh at the characters and say, “do you actually understand the words that are coming out of your mouth?!?” Absolutely. So here I have a list of my top 5 (that I can think of at this moment) lines in books that fill me with secondhand embarrassment or just make me go urghhh…

Top 5 Popular book series I haven’t read // Friday Five

Helloooo

I’m back with another Friday Five. It was actually hard to narrow down to 5 series that I’ve heard so much about – the good and the bad (mainly the wonderful stuff). I’m really looking forward to seeing for myself, and mostly hope that I really enjoy them. I decided to only choose one series per author because these are some very well known authors (and I haven’t read any of their others books either) and only chose series that were already completed. With that said, let’s actually get on with it…

Top 5 YA books I didn’t expect to LOVE // Friday Five

Helloooo

So this is my first blog post and it’s going to be a Five Friday. Why you ask – because I find it difficult to list 10 books in those Top Ten Tuesdays and I love lists! Anyway, today I’m going to be listing my top 5 books I thought I wouldn’t like from reading the synopsis (and judging the cover) but fell under the pressure to read them and absolutely loved them. Starting at number 5…
