I feel that I’m starting every post this year like this but here we go again. Yes, I know it’s late but I still want to wrap up my month of January 2018. I was thinking about just smushing all my monthly wrap up posts into one, but I still wanted to talk about my bookish happenings each month, so they going to be abridged, separate posts. Hopefully they’re still enjoyable!
Get hyped because it’s time for my most anticipated book of the year. I’m aware that we’re already well into 2018 but I was determined to get this post out and there are still so many releases I’m excited about. I’ll be listing my 18 most anticipated releases of 2018 in order of their release date. I’ve included some books that have already been released, but I haven’t read them yet and I’m still very excited. I’m always conflicted about new releases because I probably don’t need to add more books to be TBR and there are so many books I need to read. So, starting from January…
I’ve already posted my favourites in 2017 which can be found HERE. Continuing my overdue yearly wrap up series, I’ll be sharing my worst books of 2017 today. They’re books that I found unenjoyable or just weren’t my type, but I don’t particularly hate any of these books. These are my personal experience reading them and don’t actually reflect the quality of the book so if there are any books on this list that you loved, that’s fine too. Now without any particular order, let’s get into it!
Unfortunately in 2017, I didn’t have too many 5 star reads, and that’s super disappointing. Nonetheless, I am going to be listing my favourite books of 2017 in a similar style to my 2016 favourites (which can be found HERE)! Like the previous year, instead of listing my overall favourite reads of the year, I’m going to choose the best in specific categories. So, welcome to the first post of my yearly wrap up series: thebook awards of 2017!!
(Let’s just pretend this was posted in January).
(Another note: I decided not to include any rereads because I reread the entire Harry Potter series and that’s not particularly fair on other books if I include them because THEY’RE AMAZING!!! Ahem).Read More »
I had a very intense month of reading in December because I was determined to finish my reading challenge. If you want to see how successful I was and other bookish shenanigans, keep on reading! (Let’s just pretend it’s still January).
Today I’m going to do an unboxing for the Page Habit: October YA box. This is my first time trying a bookish subscription box which was super exciting, so I wanted to document my experience of it. I am not a Page Habit rep, nor have I received anything in exchange for this post. Yes, this post is a little late considering it’s December… So with that out of the way, let’s see what goods were contained in October’s box.
As I have mentioned multiple times, I’m behind on my 2017 reading challenge so I’m participating in my 2nd reading challenge this year: Readings Crossing.
This challenge is an Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp inspired reading challenge with a bingo board style with 4 themed paths: Cute, Cool, Natural and Sporty. I have been playing this mobile version of Animal Crossing and I’ve been kind of addicted so it might be good to put this energy into reading.
The challenge runs until the end of the year from:
Sunday, 10th December 2017
Sunday, 31st December 2017.
This exciting challenge has been created by the creator of #TheReadingQuest: Aentee @ Read at Midnight. All the graphics in this post are also created by Aentee.
If this sounds like fun, you can sign up or learn more about the challenge HERE! Now to the books I’m planning to read and challenges I’m attempting to tackle…
