Hey there!

I’m Emily and I am a bibliophile. My curiosity as a child found fulfilment in the library and fiction. When my nose is buried in a book, you could find me from a fantasy to a thriller. I prefer YA novels but I don’t really care what the genre is. I just want to read a GOOD BOOK! The Harry Potter series has a special part of my heart and I’m a proud Ravenclaw.

P.S. this picture is a lie – I don’t go outside

Besides my obsession of reading, I enjoy watching TV shows, eating and spending too much time on the internet. I’m shy around people, but crazy around friends. I’m drawn to aesthetically pleasing things but I’m not artsy. I have a passion for stationery and my favourite animals are red pandas. If I love something, I will rave, gush and obsess to a very extreme extent *cough* HAMILTON (seriously if you haven’t listened to the cast album… why?!?!).

I created this blog because of my love for reading and need to let out all my feels. I want this blog to be a place where don’t have to hide our book obsessions, where we can openly discuss, share and fangirl/boy over books as much as we want!

Everyone deserves their own opinion in discussions as long as the intention is not to hurt another person, so please be mindful when commenting. Here is one of my favourite quotes just as a reminder;

You are not entitled to your opinion. You are entitled to your informed opinion. No one is entitled to be ignorant.

– Harlan Ellison

This is a personal blog with content written and edited by me. I believe in integrity in my opinions and relationship with readers. I do not accept any form of cash advertising, sponsorship or paid content/topic insertions. All books reviewed on this blog are either purchased, borrowed from the library, received from friends or authors/publishers without any compensation. I always endeavour to be honest when reviewed books or other products mentions on this blog and will always state in the post if a book or other product has been sent for review.

I am an affiliate for the Book Depository. This means if you click on a Book Depository link on my blog and purchase a book, I will receive a 5% commission each order. This does not affect my opinions and reviews on books in this blog. I know from experience that books are quite expensive in Australia, so I believe the Book Depository provides a good deal with cheap prices on many books as well as free shipping. You can check it out and be the judge of that yourself. I will be extremely grateful if you make any purchase through my affiliate links on my blog – there are no extra steps required of you. All commissions earned will be used to maintain and improve this blog and hopefully create better content! Also, I will indicate on any blog post if I am using an affiliate link with (*).

Anyway, here is my affiliate link:

  1. Hi Emily! I’m Jessica. I just stumbled upon your blog from the comment section of another blog (Paper Fury). It’s nice to meet you! I LOVE that quote, by the way!

    • Hey Jessica!! Haha I’m glad you found my blog (I do love Cait’s blog posts). YAY that’s one of my favourite quotes and I wish more people could see it. It’s nice meeting you too :D
